n just a few short months after relocating to Hong Kong from New York City, it’s pretty amazing how quickly Lucia Tait Tolani has settled in. What’s been her take on the local fashion scene so far? “It’s great; women here are so well dressed, and incredibly up-to-date with the latest trends,” she says. “But there are still a lot of new labels you can’t find here.” She makes a fair point—and has a solution: “I recently launched my new business, Pair, which offers women the opportunity to meet and learn about emerging designers.” Pair is an invite-only style consulting agency, Tait Tolani explains. “We will host exclusive Hong Kong trunk shows and shopping events with international designers in partnership with Threads, a London-founded personal shopping agency. There are a lot of new labels out there that we can’t find here—and I want to create a platform to introduce them to the stylesavvy women of Hong Kong.” “Special shoes for a special occasion—i wore these Swarovskiencrusted sandals by René Caovilla for the Indian ceremony at my wedding last year”
