Background “i was raised in a shoe factory,” says Brazilian native alexandre Birman. Born into a family that has dominated the South american footwear market since the 1970s, Birman designed his first shoe at the age of 12 and continued to dabble in fashion illustrations, which ultimately led him to launch his eponymous label in 2008.

Brand Signature Birman’s designs use luxurious materials with a focus on sophistication, elegance and femininity. The couture brand is renowned for its use of exotic skins such as python, crocodile and lizard.

LATEST collection The sexy 1970s serve as Birman’s inspiration, through the use of precious skins in a rich autumn palette featuring black, cognac and midnight blue. The collection targets the sophisticated traveller—one who parades through life in ankle boots, cage sandals or ballerina flats.
