When In Rome
valentino Creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli honoured the city in their own way—beautifully beaded lace dresses with gladiator armour-inspired skirts, lace-up sandals similar to their runway hits from spring/summer 2015, velvet-lined cloaks, beautifully embroidered gowns. And who could forget that splash of classic Valentino red for the final exit? Each model wore a delicate gold hairband resembling what a priestess might have worn, while the eagle (an enduring symbol of Rome) nestled its way on to thin belts, chain necklaces and harness-styled frocks.
