Why have one when you can have two? Double your outerwear with this season’s new layering style
Double your outerwear with this season’s new layering style
Gone are the days of layering jumper over shirt and coat over jacket over jumper. This season the men’s collections doubled up on the outerwear and advocated layering coat on jacket on coat with abandon. Lucas Ossendrijver, menswear designer at Lanvin, has created a series of bomber jackets that, whether depicted in watersnake or the softest of buttery leathers, are designed to be worn over a suit. Lanvin’s pythonfronted bomber worn over a longer jacket in windowpane check perfectly underscored the season’s trend of rebellious, eccentric layering. Favourite leather jacket or favourite pea coat? You no longer have to choose.
