SHOW TIME
The evening’s entertainment was beautifully curated, providing a transition through different dance styles, from classical ballet, to a fun ballet-breakdancing collaboration and a street-dance performance by South Korean group Jinjo Crew, who were flown in specially for the occasion. The ballet company performed two excerpts from Pinocchio and Bolero. The talent and athleticism of the dancers had guests glued to their seats. A live auction followed, with Christie’s auctioneer Elaine Kwok doing a great job engaging her audience. Perrier-jouët’s The Belle Epoque Collection—a set of 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2007 vintages—was the most popular lot, with paddles flying up all over the room.
