Two shades of grey

Fifty Shades of Grey author EL James is an avid fan of wine. Her erotic novel features wine playing a sensual role, and her website reveals which vintages are in play in the various scenes. Now, with the Mendocino Wine Company, the author has created a wine brand that goes by the same name as her famous novel. Two wines are available under the Fifty Shades of Grey label: Red Satin, a blend of mostly petite sirah and syrah, and White Silk, which is primarily gewürztraminer and sauvignon blanc. The red is better than the white: 90 points and 88 points respectively.
