RESPONSE TO A CRISIS
The People’s Bank of China and the country’s finance ministry have been battling an economic slowdown since November 2014, when interest rates were cut for the first time since 2012.
The frequency of actions taken since then suggests that policymakers have struggled to contain the crisis and that economic growth continues to weaken despite the considerable easing of policy.
