A Night to Remember

The annual gala dinner for amfar (the Foundation for Aids Research) has quickly become one of the most glamorous parties on Hong Kong’s social calendar. For this year’s dinner at Shaw Studios, Hollywood stars including Adrien Brody and Uma Thurman rubbed shoulders with the likes of Victoria Beckham and supermodel Karolina Kurková.

Celebrations got underway with a speech by the charity’s chairman of the board, renowned fashion designer Kenneth Cole, who reflected on the organisation’s successes to date.

One of the evening’s highlights came as Thurman warmly embraced Beckham on stage before presenting her with the Award for Courage, recognising the designer’s work as a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador.
