Journey to the East

Victoria Beckham has made several trips to the Fragrant Harbour in the past, but her visit this time around proved to be quite a momentous occasion. She celebrated the opening of her first Hong Kong boutique—only the second from her eponymous brand to open outside of London. To commemorate its launch, Victoria hosted a private cocktail party, followed by a dinner at Duddell’s. As well as speaking about her love of Hong Kong, she also made a toast in which she professed her gratitude to the teams at Joyce and Hongkong Land. Victoria then touched upon how she was looking forward to the Foundation for Aids Research’s (amfar) annual gala the following evening (see p.76), where she was set to be honoured for her work as a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador. After the dinner, guests had a great time on the terrace, with Victoria kicking off her heels and joining everyone as they danced the night away.
