Lions and tigers and bears
Let the cat out the bag in kit that’s anything but kittenish
Leopard print—many a macho male has been scared off by even the slightest purr of a feline motif. Yet this season, designers picked animals from the plains of Africa and plastered them in such a way that turned meows into roars. From the giraffe-print tanks and zebra-esque billowy trenches at Burberry to the green and red leopard that Dries Van Noten patchworked on suit jackets, and to the furry tiger printtrimmed parkas and bombers over neon psychedelic patterns and leopard-print tees at Coach, these were animal prints with attitude. Opt for unusual colour combos, and splice and dice with other fabrics to ensure the look is more Rolling Stones than Flintstones. Neil Barrett
