Passengers flying first or business class to Taipei on Hong Kong’s flagship airline will be pleased to hear that it has opened a brand new lounge in Terminal 1. At 13,500 square feet and with seating for 245 people (about 100 more than the previous lounge), this place is at once spacious and homely. Solo travellers—or those feeling just plain antisocial—will welcome the arrival of Cathay Pacific’s “solo chair.” A spacious seat with high sides and a side table, reading lamp and coat hook, it’s the perfect private spot to curl up and relax.
