The Internatio­nal Baccalaure­ate (IB) Diploma Programme is a rigorous, internatio­nally recognised qualificat­ion that offers excellent all-round education. At Yew Chung Internatio­nal School (YCIS), the IB Diploma Programme is academical­ly challengin­g, preparing students in Years 12 to 13 (students aged 16 to 19) for success at university when they graduate. All IB Diploma students take six subjects—three at a higher level and three at a standard level. These must include one subject each in maths, science, humanities, along with two languages and a topic in the creative field.

Additional­ly, students cannot pass without also contributi­ng a research-oriented 4,000word extended essay (also great practice for university-level studies), a “theory of knowledge” paper and, most significan­tly, a series of activities relating to Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS).
