Rosetta Getty is the LA woman we would all like to be. The wife of ac­tor Balt­hazar Getty (great­grand­son of oil ty­coon J Paul Getty) and a mother of four, she be­came a model in her teenage years. “Liv­ing in Paris, Italy and New York re­ally opened up the world of lux­ury fash­ion to me,” says Getty, who left mod­el­ling to study fash­ion de­sign at LA’S Otis Col­lege of Art and De­sign. After grad­u­at­ing, she launched a suc­cess­ful chil­drenswear brand and a line of cock­tail dresses be­fore tak­ing time off to fo­cus on rais­ing her fam­ily. In 2014, Getty re­turned with the launch of her epony­mous la­bel, which fo­cuses on el­e­gant, easy-to-wear sep­a­rates. “I could spend a whole day get­ting ready for an evening out be­fore I had kids,” she says. “Now I don’t have time to stop, so I wanted to cre­ate clothes that could move from day to night, that could travel well and could be worn to any oc­ca­sion.” The clothes, in fact, are very much like Getty: so­phis­ti­cated, chic and teem­ing with LA man­sion cool.
