Rosetta Getty is the LA woman we would all like to be. The wife of actor Balthazar Getty (greatgrandson of oil tycoon J Paul Getty) and a mother of four, she became a model in her teenage years. “Living in Paris, Italy and New York really opened up the world of luxury fashion to me,” says Getty, who left modelling to study fashion design at LA’S Otis College of Art and Design. After graduating, she launched a successful childrenswear brand and a line of cocktail dresses before taking time off to focus on raising her family. In 2014, Getty returned with the launch of her eponymous label, which focuses on elegant, easy-to-wear separates. “I could spend a whole day getting ready for an evening out before I had kids,” she says. “Now I don’t have time to stop, so I wanted to create clothes that could move from day to night, that could travel well and could be worn to any occasion.” The clothes, in fact, are very much like Getty: sophisticated, chic and teeming with LA mansion cool.
