A highlight of the foundation’s 12th annual gala dinner was the announcement of the winner of the 2016 Sovereign Asian Art Prize—indian artist Baptist Coelho for his work Attempts to Contain. Christie’s Asia Pacific chairman François Curiel presided over the evening’s art auction, knocking down a work by Filipino artists Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan, Left Wing, for the top price of US$32,000. The evening came to a close with a performance by Asia’s Got Talent finalists Junior New System. Michel and Tamara Lamunière
