100 points An­other great Saf­fredi af­ter the per­fect 100-point 2012. I tasted it a year ago and thought it sen­sa­tional. Even bet­ter now. Dense and struc­tured yet shows a lively, jaz­z­like vibe that gives it form and beauty. Needs four to five years to soften. Caber­net sauvi­gnon, mer­lot and pe­tit ver­dot. 98 points A pow­er­ful and ripe red with lots of dried berry, choco­late, meat and cur­rant char­ac­ter. Full body, chewy and ripe tan­nins, and a tight and tan­nic fin­ish. Needs a few years to soften. Shows the heat of the vin­tage. Bet­ter in 2018.

97 points This is a seam­less wine with black­berry, black cur­rant and liquorice. Full body, silky tan­nins, and a long and fresh fin­ish. This shows such a beau­ti­ful depth and length. Drink or hold.
