The Sanya edition, China Known as a pioneer of the boutique aesthetic, the Edition brand has taken things to the next level with its Sanya resort, its first in Asia. The expansive property covers 22 hectares and includes a 20,000-square-metre “private ocean” replenished every 32 hours with fresh seawater pumped in from Haitang Bay. The resort is divided into different specialised zones: adventurers can climb the rock wall or ride the paddleboards; more relaxed types can gather in the mahjong rooms; children can explore the water slides and a fantastical treehouse; wellness seekers can retreat to the meditation forest or The Spa. In line with the artsy chic character of Edition outposts in New York, Miami Beach and London, the new resort features spacious rooms in white and grey tones, plus a gallery space curated by the Ullens Centre for Contemporary Art in Beijing. editionho
