A din­ner to be held in the Grand Ball­room of the Con­rad ho­tel on March 20 will de­light not only the palate but also the ears, with per­for­mances by some of the world’s best a cap­pella groups. The Hong Kong Fed­er­a­tion of Youth Groups’ own a cap­pella en­sem­ble, the Melody Mak­ers, will take the stage along­side Aus­tralia’s Drums of War and the UK’S Tech­ton­ics. “A cap­pella choirs are en­er­getic and elec­tri­fy­ing, in­no­va­tive and in­vig­o­rat­ing and have been called true pro­po­nents of the spirit and heart of mu­sic,” says Rosanna Wong, the fed­er­a­tion’s ex­ec­u­tive direc­tor. Funds raised on the night will help pro­vide ser­vices and coun­selling for at-risk youth.
