My Favourite Things

Denise Lo reveals five of her most loved possessions

-

I bought this piece at Art Basel two years ago. It’s by Korean artist Choi Jeong Hwa, who does a lot of kitsch art. It’s part of a series for which he painted Korean gods wearing masks from the sci-fi and comic worlds. I love how funky it is. This is a leather and sterling silver horse by Thai brand Lotus Arts de Vivre. It’s a gift from my mother for my previous home.

I obsessed over this Miffy sculpture when I saw it in Amsterdam. I love this character and how bold this piece looks. It goes very well with my other Miffies. My son bought me this Jonathan Adler frame with the first money he earned by himself. It’s just a very sweet, thoughtful gift.

This is an antique ivory box my father gave me when I moved here. It dates to the Qing dynasty, during the Qianlong Emperor era. I love how intricate its carvings are, how delicate it feels.
