VIPS gath­ered at the Hong Kong Her­itage Mu­seum to cel­e­brate the sil­ver ju­bilee of Le French May, the city’s an­nual fes­ti­val of Gal­lic cul­ture, and the 20th an­niver­sary of the Hong Kong han­dover. Guests feasted on a spe­cial menu de­signed by in­ter­na­tion­ally renowned chefs Guy Martin and Ni­co­las Boutin. The Hong Kong Vir­tu­oso Cho­rus per­formed an adap­ta­tion of Joyeux An­niver­saire (Happy Birth­day) that in­cluded trum­pets and dance as well as song, a fit­ting trib­ute to the arts fes­ti­val’s 25th an­niver­sary. Guests at the event, spon­sored by Fancl, also en­joyed a pri­vate pre­view of the ex­hi­bi­tion “In­vent­ing le Lou­vre: From Palace to Mu­seum over 800 Years,” which has brought mas­ter­pieces from the famed Paris mu­seum to Hong Kong.
