Le French May Silver Jubilee Dinner.
LE FRENCH MAY SILVER JUBILEE DINNER
VIPS gathered at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to celebrate the silver jubilee of Le French May, the city’s annual festival of Gallic culture, and the 20th anniversary of the Hong Kong handover. Guests feasted on a special menu designed by internationally renowned chefs Guy Martin and Nicolas Boutin. The Hong Kong Virtuoso Chorus performed an adaptation of Joyeux Anniversaire (Happy Birthday) that included trumpets and dance as well as song, a fitting tribute to the arts festival’s 25th anniversary. Guests at the event, sponsored by Fancl, also enjoyed a private preview of the exhibition “Inventing le Louvre: From Palace to Museum over 800 Years,” which has brought masterpieces from the famed Paris museum to Hong Kong.
