The city’s brightest young entrepreneurs and innovators were honoured at the Generation T dinner and party

-

Hong Kong Tatler hosted an exclusive dinner at the Murray to honour the young entrepreneurs and innovators selected for the 2018 Generation T List. Supported by H Moser & Cie and Theory, the event gathered the new Gen.t listers and members of the Tatler Tribe, the panel of industry heavyweights who research and nominate individuals for inclusion on the list. Leading members of the Tatler Tribe this year included Kent Ho, Emily Lam-ho, Peter Cheung and Joyce Tam. During the dinner, John Wood, founder of the education charity Room to Read, gave an impassioned speech about the importance of building social purpose into businesses, and Edipresse Media Hong Kong managing director Sean Fitzpatrick announced that the Generation T platform would be sponsoring 50 children to learn to read and write for a year through Room to Read’s programme— one for every 2018 Generation T lister.

After dinner, the 2018 Generation T inductees and the Tatler Tribe were ushered upstairs to Popinjays for the after-party, where 2016 and 2017 Gen.t members, including Ivan Pun, Arthur Lam and Sean Lee-davies, were waiting, eager to discover the new crop of young talent joining them as Generation T listers. The profiles of the new members, affixed to plaques on three display columns in the centre of the room, were hidden by a sheet of fabric—until the big reveal, when Edipresse Media Hong Kong executives Michel and Tamara Lamunière and Sean Fitzpatrick drew the cover back. The revellers enjoyed special Gin T cocktails, created in collaboration with 2016 Generation T lister Victoria Chow of The Woods, while grooving to the bass-heavy sounds of DJ Y3LDA.
