Cultivating a world-class manufacturing cluster

-

To attract heavyweight sci-tech projects and cultivate a world-class advanced manufacturing cluster is what Lingang deemed to do.

Artificial intelligence and robotics are two key priorities in Lingang’s industrial development.

Unicorns in the two fields are the port town’s favorite. On the basis of that, Lingang will promote the development of high-end intelligent equipment, oceanic equipment and intelligent vehicle as three of its pillars and accelerate the cultivation of multi-hundred billion yuan worth of industrial clusters.

Emerging industries, such as software and information technology, integrated circuits, aeronautics and energy saving and environmental protection will also be promoted to break the international monopoly.

In the fields of urban development, Lingang will optimize its comprehensive transport system.

Construction will be kicked off this year on a viaduct linking the S2 Expressway and Haigang Avenue as well as the north section of Lianggang Avenue.

A bus rapid transit project is planned to connect Lingang’s downtown and the equipment industrial zone. The plan for an intercity railway will be completed and given to the city authority.

Lingang will accelerate the construction of its major street networks, enhance traffic connections throughout the town and accelerate the promotion of electric car sharing program to create an environment friendly traffic demonstration zone.

The Haichang Ocean Park will start a test run in August and open to the public in two months. Construction will begin on a number of cultural and entertainment facilities this year.

Lingang will improve its infrastructure by introducing intelligent and eco-friendly solutions, such as a smart urban management platform, underground installation of pipelines and the construction of sponge city.

A 40-kilometer slow traffic system as well as a 7.5-hectare vital community is part of Lingang authority’s efforts to make life here better.

Last but not the least, the port town on the shore of the East China Sea is trying to create the most friendly business environment in Shanghai.

It will build an O2O service platform, establish an all-in-one counter and optimize process to approve a non-state investment project in 14 days, the fastest in Shanghai.

Additionally, a total of 1,000 condos will be prepared by the end of the year for talent dedicated to Lingang’s development.
