‘Twilight’ at MoCA ‘Mortal at the Helm’

The group exhibition invited eight artists from home and abroad to discuss humanity, science and spiritual life in relation to the art they created since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Artworks come in a variety of forms, such as painting, sculpture, video, photography, installation and graffiti, with an aim to illustrate diverse creativity in contemporary art and broaden the boundary of perception.

Japanese Design
The exhibition features Kashiwa Sato’s selected works from the same exhibition being held in Tokyo. By scanning QR codes, visitors can listen to him explaining his work in Japanese, with Chinese subtitles. Organizers will host various events including live exchanges with the National Art Center in Tokyo, and design forums and symposiums.

‘Morning Market’
It is Chinese painter Chen Fei’s solo exhibition, featuring still life paintings of fruit, dumplings, vegetables and old junk on a desk, to create a panorama of local life by drawing on worldly realities. Each painting tells a humorous idea of a lively market full of images, inviting the viewers to enter a kaleidoscopic and folded world behind the still lives.
