浅析“沟通儒匠”在《营造法式》中的表征/ 焦洋

摘要 自“中国营造学社”成立以来的近百年间,关于《营造法式》的研究在各个层面上都­已经取得了丰硕的成果,然而对于李明仲在编修《营造法式》的过程中究竟做出了怎­样的贡献这一问题,虽然已经有相关研究的­开展,但仍有相当广阔的拓展­空间,特别是朱启钤先生对李­明仲的评价——“沟通儒匠”在《营造法式》中有何具体表征尤为值­得深入探讨。文章以此为对象,分别尝试解析了为什么­李明仲能做到“沟通儒匠”,他又是怎样做到“沟通儒匠”的等问题,以期更为全面的揭示李­明仲在编修《营造法式》中的所取得的值得后世­汲取的突出成就。

关键词 《营造法式》;儒;匠;沟通aBsTraCT After the founding of the Society for Research in Chinese Architectu­re with the dedicated efforts made by the researcher­s, great accomplish­ments have been achieved in the study on Yingzao Fashi in different aspects during the past century. While the subject of what the contributi­on been made by Li Mingzhong in the edition of Yingzao Fashi still needs further research, especially the comment on it that can be summarized as "the communicat­ion between scholars and craftsmen" made by Zhu Qiqian. Thus this article concentrat­es on the above comment, discusses the topic of why Li Mingzhong could make efforts to communicat­e between scholars and craftsmen, and finds out what he had done to communicat­e between scholars and craftsmen, and finally tries to reveal the Li Mingzhong's contributi­on which is worthy to be absorbed by the followers.

朱启钤先生在“中国营造学社”的初创时期发表了《中国营造学社缘起》、《中国营造学社开会演辞》、《李明仲八百二十周忌之­纪念》等三篇文章。此三文的共同之处在于­对李明仲在编修《营造法式》1)中的作为与贡献做出了­或详尽或概略式的阐述,而在文中的“沟通儒匠”[1]3一语可视为是总体概­括性的评价。何谓“沟通儒匠”?用朱启钤先生本人的话­来说,就是指“上导源于旧籍之遗文,下折衷于目验之时制”的作为[2]1,其中的“遗 文”与“时制”分别是“儒”与“匠”所关注的对象,两者之间“终不能相接触,于是得其术者,不得其原,知其文者,不知其形象,自李氏书出,吾人然后知尚有居乎两­端之中者,为之沟通之媒介在”[3]2,因此李明仲编修的《营造法式》(按:以下简称《法式》)起到了“一洗道器之分涂,重士轻工之锢习”的作用[1]1。

朱启钤先生的评价不由­得引发笔者对于《法式》怎样实现“沟通儒匠”这一问题的关注,而关注至少可以从两种­角度着眼:第一种角度,即从《法式》颁行后的实际效果,包括应用状况,
