Symbolic monument
People visit the Tsunami Museum in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, which was built as a symbolic reminder of the Indian Ocean tsunami that struck on December 26, 2004, killing an estimated 230,000 people in 14 countries. Banda Aceh suffered more than 61,000 fatalities, almost a quarter if its population. The museum is also a tsunami disaster educational centre.
