In Full Bloom WEDDING OF ARTHUR TANG AND FIONA LI

-

Romance was quick to blossom for Arthur Tang and Fiona Li when they met in the Pacific Northwest of the US. After four years of study and courtship at Seattle University, they continued their relationship long distance on returning home—he to join the family business, Prince Jewellery & Watch, in Hong Kong, and she to Changsha in Hunan Province. After enduring a year apart, Arthur knew Fiona was the one. He lured her to Hong Kong, where he surprised her with his proposal and a bouquet of 100 roses in the intimate setting of the Tang family’s garden. Fiona remembers it as one of the most sublime days of her life, only topped by the wedding itself, which took place a year later at the Ritzcarlton, Hong Kong.

Helping the newlyweds welcome their guests at the December 16 reception were the groom’s parents, Jimmy and Emily Tang, and the bride’s parents, Fahui and Zhangping Li. The floral motif of the invitations and the reception was a nod to the beautiful garden in which the couple had become engaged. Fresh flowers adorned the walls from floor to ceiling and burst from gorgeous centrepieces. The bride looked stunning in a gown by Monique Lhuillier, the groom dapper in Dolce & Gabbana. After a heart-warming speech by Jimmy, the 300 guests tucked into a sumptuous eight-course meal. To top off a flawless evening, each guest received a beautiful crystal box designed especially for the occasion by Peonia Diamond as a thank you from the newlyweds.
