Palace in the Sky
The Vittorio has set a new standard for exclusive luxury living in Bangkok: a stunning vertical palazzo that merges Renaissance aesthetics with modern living
xclusive, luxurious and secluded, the Vittorio is a palace of elegant, welldesigned homes in the heart of Bangkok.
Developed by AP Thailand, the 28-storey condominium development has just 88 residences, created to combine classical Italian architectural motifs with modern living. It takes its inspiration from the artistic milieu of Florence, particularly from the lifestyle of Florentine noblemen and from the Uffizi Gallery, one of the greatest museums in the world. The development is located at the upscale end of Bangkok’s central artery, Sukhumvit Road, and it’s just seconds away from the luxury Emquartier shopping mall and the Phrom Phong BTS Skytrain station.
The property makes a strong first impression, with the Galleria Medici entrance lobby that is a work of art itself, inspired by the u-shaped courtyard of Florence’s Uffizi Gallery. With décor by designer Alexander Lamont, ultra-modern opulence nonetheless pays homage to the past, and to Italy’s great art and architectural traditions.
The lobby features artful vertical lines, making for an interplay of wood, stone and light. It’s highlighted by ultra-rare Italian Palissandro Bluette marble, whose subtle gray, blue and gold hues reflect the lobby’s warm browns, ochres and golds—all redolent of a Tuscan autumn.
Vittorio offers three residential types. The Vittorio Villas are stately apartments with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The design of the building means that every residence is a corner
unit, occupying a quarter of each floor and sharing no walls with other residences. Stunningly expansive windows, open terraces and panoramic bedroom views make these a modern take on a nobleman’s estate.
The Duplex Este is a dual-level mansion with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Here, the 6.35-metre ceilings and floor-toceiling windows deliver a living space that is both spectacular and functional. A two-storey marble art installation dominates the space, an abstract and arresting central image.
Finally, for urbanites of distinction, there are two Palazzo Vittorio penthouses, each of three storeys and with three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The penthouse residences feature a super-sized master bedroom with a 270-degree panoramic view of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic city. Midnight blue, chestnut brown and glints of burnished copper make up the colour palette of this supremely distinguished living space.
Vittorio also boasts a state-of-the-art gym and a semi-enclosed swimming pool, which makes the best use of stunning views of Bangkok. At the Vittorio you are elevated above it all—a collection of living spaces inspired by the Renaissance but profoundly rooted in the modern-day.
