One of the greatest parties I attended was the 2009 Hong Kong Tatler Ball. A high point of the night was when my late husband, Allan, went on stage to entertain the crowd with his repertoire of Elvis Presley. He had just received the Bon Vivant award and clearly was in the mood to celebrate.

My most memorable party was a handover party in 1997 called Climax On The Peak. It took place at Cafe Deco and was sponsored by Dior to benefit the Hong Kong Cancer Fund. It was really fun—the people, costumes, music, entertainment and show were mesmerising and I can still remember all the colours. Because it was a buffet, people were able to mingle and enjoy the party. To top off the evening, we had the perfect view of the skyline to take in the fireworks.

The most amazing party I attended was Louis Vuitton’s Centenaire Monogram party at the Hong Kong Country Club in 1996. It was the first time the country club allowed a gala dinner for over 300 people to be held on its lawn, which has a panoramic view of Deep Water Bay. The brand had flown in a Parisian cancan dance group to perform. The night ended with a 20-minute fireworks show. It was a truly magical evening.

The Goldin Group’s 20th anniversary dinner in 2015 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre was one of the best events I’ve attended to date. I especially loved and remember the fantastic wine that was served. I distinctly remember we enjoyed Pétrus, Château Latour and Château Cos d’estournel, to name a few. The theme for the evening was East meets West, and the performances included opera singing, ballet, an acrobatic show and a performance of a Buddha with a thousand hands.
