KERRY. YOUR URBAN WEDDING OASIS

Brides, mark your calendars—kerry Hotel’s wedding fair is scheduled for July 22 and features everything you need to plan the perfect day

-

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, with couples inundated by a plethora of decisions, from the make-up and the music to the dress and the dessert. Kerry Hotel, a luxury urban resort located in Hung Hom Bay, will take couples on a journey full of unique experiences at its wedding fair on July 22. The “Kerry. Your Urban Wedding Oasis” fair will feature more than 30 vendors in the Grand Ballroom, so you can find everything you need for your dream wedding.

Through workshops, panel discussions and bridal shows, the fair will allow you to visualise, taste and experience products and services that would elevate and add a touch of pizzazz to your day.

Whether it’s a tour of the property to see all the venues, or a visit to the Grand Staircase, which overlooks the lobby and its 80-metre stretch of floor-to-ceiling windows, for a photography experience, you will find the fair at Kerry Hotel to be a one-stop wedding oasis.

Dream Venue

Located on the waterfront of Hung Hom Bay, the luxurious Kerry Hotel was designed by architectural firm Rocco Design and renowned interior designer André Fu. It boasts panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and offers a variety of indoor and outdoor venue options, making it a top choice for newly engaged couples.

Curated tours during the fair will see Kerry Hotel event staff and wedding planners take guests around all the spaces that can be used, whether for an intimate wedding of 50 or a large affair for over 1,000 guests. The tours will include the Grand Ballroom, the largest pillar-less ballroom in the city, which can accommodate over 1,200 people for a banquet; the vast Harbourview Deck, which can seat up to 180 guests for a wedding ceremony; and the Hung Hom Ballroom, which is ideal for smaller gatherings. Alternatively, couples can explore the venues on their own by following the suggested route in a wedding fair booklet that will be provided to all guests on the day.

If you have a substantial number of guests heading to Hong Kong for your special day, the hotel has 546 spacious guest rooms, which all include a complimentary mini bar, an infinity swimming pool overlooking Victoria Harbour, the Chinese fine-dining restaurant Hung Tong, and many more facilities to ensure that all overseas guests are well looked after.

Picture Perfect

Essential to every wedding is the right photographer to capture all the memorable moments of your special day. Kerry Hotel wants to make sure you find your perfect fit by setting up portrait stations— complete with wedding decor by vendors Free Concept, Miluna Studio and Only Mine—at various photogenic spots around the hotel, such as the Grand Staircase in the lobby and the Harbourview Foyer, next to the Grand Ballroom, which comes with stunning views of Victoria Harbour. The photos will be taken by some of the city’s best vendors for wedding photography, including Alexander Hera, Johnny Production and KC Professional Photography, and are guaranteed to be breathtaking, giving couples the chance to visualise their wedding day and get a keepsake from the fair.

Aisle Talk

Two mock ceremonies, complete with live music from Innonation and Tess Collins, will be staged during the fair so you will see different versions of a wedding and pick up some ideas for the moment when you exchange vows and become husband and wife.

Gowns Galore

For brides who haven’t yet chosen a dress, the fair offers two showcases featuring the latest wedding gowns from Audella Bridal House and Trinity Bridal.

Grab a front-row seat and check out the most soughtafter designs while sipping a glass of champagne. The fair goes one step further with a more personalised experience at the Presidential Suite, where brides will get to try on some of the gowns as well.

Taste Test

Guests will experience Kerry Hotel’s excellent culinary creations in the Grand Ballroom via various food stations, with free-flow champagne, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

Wedding Know-how

If you need some expert advice on wedding planning, the fair will be bringing together Hong Kong’s top planners, such as Wedding Maestros (a subsidiary of Marriage Maestros) and The Theme Wedding, for a panel discussion sharing tips and tricks covering a range of topics, from wedding dos and don’ts to solutions for problematic situations.

In addition, a workshop on the traditional rituals and etiquette for a Chinese wedding will be led by Lo Kan Fong Chinese Wedding, which includes a mock set-up of the all-important Chinese tea ceremony.

To help brides de-stress before the big day, Kerry Spa and Aromatherapy Associates will host a talk filled with health and wellness tips.

Hands-on Experiences

For couples wanting to add a personal touch to their wedding favours and decorations, various vendors will be hosting workshops to provide plenty of inspiration and a good dose of fun.

There will be a workshop by Parfumerie Trésor to help you pick out a suitable fragrance. In addition, find out how to personalise the dessert served at your wedding reception from Bow by Lazy Baking; learn how to create your own floral arrangements with Kas’weet, which specialises in wedding favours; or try your hand at making personalised candies with Papabubble. n
