OBJETS NOMADES
Launched in 2012, Louis Vuitton’s acclaimed Objets Nomades collection comprises a series of travel-inspired objects, from hammocks to living room furniture, all designed by an array of renowned creatives. In December last year, Louis Vuitton unveiled three new additions to the collection: a table by Atelier Biagetti with a rippling leather base, a glass vase by Tokujin Yoshioka and a circular dining table by Atelier Oï. These joined pieces by design stars including the Campana Brothers, Barber & Osgerby, India Mahdavi, Patricia Urquiola and Hong Kong’s own André Fu.
During Art Week, Louis Vuitton will unveil a brand new Objets Nomades work that’s been designed by experimental London-based studio Raw Edges. This new addition will then be exhibited alongside other Objets Nomades pieces in an exhibition that Louis Vuitton is hosting in the Central Magistracy building at Tai Kwun. Local designer Joyce Wang— who’s behind chic and sophisticated interiors including Mott 32 and the rooms of the Landmark Mandarin Oriental—has designed the scenography of the exhibition. Members of the public who wish to attend can register on Louis Vuitton’s website from March 16. March 23 to 31. Tai Kwun, 10 Hollywood Road, Central, 3559 2600. taikwun.hk. hk.louisvuitton.com
