Two of Bonhams’ most exciting sales this month are a presentation of Islamic and Indian art dating from the 7th to 19th centuries—including manuscripts, coins, jewellery, ceramics, photographs and a series of sought-after Company School paintings, which were commissioned from Indian artists by patrons in the East India Company or other foreign businesses in the 18th and 19th centuries—and a sale of art from around Asia at the very end of the month.
