The latest in entertainment and retail news from Wynn Las Vegas
THE DAYS OF STAYING IN ONE LANE ARE OVER as creatives blur the lines among art, fashion and entertainment. Virgil Abloh, whose influence can already be felt in Wynn Plaza in his collaborative artwork with Takashi Murakami, Arrow and Flower Neon Sign, has opened the exclusive West Coast location of his Off-White couture streetwear brand. The multifaceted Abloh takes the stage at Encore Beach Club on September 13 and joins DJ Black Coffee at XS on October 11.
Those who love a Wynn-exclusive retail opportunity should head to the new Alexander McQueen store on the Wynn Esplanade, a new design concept by creative director Sarah Burton in collaboration with architect Smiljan Radic. Look for the two exclusive pieces—the Spider Jewelled Satchel in dark navy stamped croc in two sizes.
Highly anticipated fall shows at Encore Theater include Ali Wong, bringing her hilarious “Milk & Money” tour to the theater on Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1. Ever-exuberant comic Sebastian Maniscalco brings the laughs on October 12 and 13 as part of his all-new “You Bother Me” tour. And John Fogerty evokes the sounds and spirit of 1969 over six celebratory nights, November 6 to 16, in “My 50 Year Trip.” And what a trip it has been.
