The ori­gin of Ro­ver, which is said to stand for “per­son that tra­vels wit­hout a de­fi­ned des­ti­na­tion”, a symbol of mo­ve­ment free­dom, is lin­ked to the na­me of a bicycle. The com­pany ma­de its first car in 1902 and, in 1929, the Ro­ver es­ta­blis­hed the Viking ship logotype.
