2018 MOTOGP: MORE COMPETITIVENESS, MORE EXCITEMENT, MORE RACES
THE 70TH EDITION OF THE WORLD MOTORCYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP IS ABOUT TO KICK OFF. EXPECTATIONS ARE HIGH IN THE TOP CATEGORY TO SHOW A PARITY LEVEL THAT WE HAVEN’T SEEN IN A LONG TIME. HONDA, DUCATI AND YAMAHA ARE STILL ON TOP OF THE LIST MADE UP OF SIX COMPETING BRANDS, WHILE SUZUKI IS SHOWING A MORE COMPETITIVE LEVEL. KTM AND APRILIA HAVE TO PUSH HARDER. Twelve teams and twenty-four riders will be fighting in a grid where Bologna plays the leading role with eight bikes. They are followed by six golden wings.
In my opinion, Marc Marquez is the rider to be defeated, while Ducati is the bike to be left behind. As an interesting element, in the upcoming season
we will have 19 GPs, which has no precedents in world championships since the very beginning, back in 1949. Except for March, we will have at least two races per month, with three events in August and
October. We can’t ask for more!
