ATA Shipwreck Museum tour

A TOUR of the Shipwreck Museum in Girne Castle, organised by the Anglo-Turkish Association (ATA), will take place on Tuesday, January 23, at 10am.

The tour will be guided by marine archaeologist Owen Gander, who dived on the shipwreck in 1969, and costs 20TL, including entry to the castle.

The tour is fully booked but the ATA are accepting names for a “reserve list” and said a second visit may be organised if there is “sufficient interest”.

Names are also being taken for a reserve list for this month’s ATA social get-together, at Alsancak’s Blue Door restaurant on Sunday, January 28, at 12.30pm. For details of both events email Pearl Mitchell on atamail13@gmail.com.
