Cyprus in the Fancy Food Show in NY
Cyprus was recently represented in the International Food and Beverage Exhibition Fancy Foods Show held in New York with the participation of 27 companies.
According to the organisers, this year’s exhibition with over 2,700 exhibitors and 28,000 visitors was the biggest so far.
The traditional cheese halloumi, as well as other Cypriot products such as pasta, nuts, vinegar and confectionery were presented at the exhibition.
“Fewer exhibitors came directly from Cyprus this year due to the fact that their representatives here in the U.S. undertake their participation in the exhibition, which is good, because it shows that the products are placed on the market and there is interest from US importers and distributors to promote them in cooperation with the Cypriot companies,” said Aristos Constantinou, Director of the Cyprus Trade Center in New York.
The Vice President of the Cyprus-American Chamber of Commerce, Nicos Nicolaou, welcoming the Cypriot exhibitors said that the goal of the chamber is to provide every possible assistance to Cypriot producers wishing to promote their products in the US.
