PwC trainees con­tinue to ex­cel in ICAEW and ACCA ex­ams

Irene Kyriacou, trainee ac­coun­tant at PwC, achieved a world­wide dis­tinc­tion in the Septem­ber 2015 ex­am­i­na­tions of the In­sti­tute of Char­tered Ac­coun­tants in Eng­land & Wales (ICAEW). She achieved first place world­wide in the “Fi­nan­cial Ac­count­ing and Re­port­ing” ex­am­i­na­tion and was awarded the “Spicer & Pe­gler” prize. This is the sec­ond time that Irene has ex­celled in the ICAEW ex­am­i­na­tions, as she had also achieved the first world­wide place in Au­dit and As­sur­ance of the Pro­fes­sional Stage ex­am­i­na­tions in De­cem­ber 2014 and was awarded the “Watts” prize”.

The PwC trainee ac­coun­tants’ par­tic­i­pa­tion in the ICAEW ex­am­i­na­tions has so far achieved a 96% suc­cess rate in “Fi­nan­cial Ac­count­ing and Re­port­ing” and 84% in “Fi­nan­cial Man­age­ment”. The global av­er­age for th­ese ex­am­i­na­tions was at 86% and 83%, re­spec­tively.

Ad­di­tion­ally, in the June 2015 ex­am­i­na­tions of the As­so­ci­a­tion of Char­tered Cer­ti­fied Ac­coun­tants (ACCA), Pana­gi­o­tis Try­fonos achieved first place in Cyprus in the “Tax­a­tion” ex­am­i­na­tion, Ge­orge The­o­fanov achieved first place in Cyprus in the “Cor­po­rate Re­port­ing” ex­am­i­na­tion and Rafaella Grouti­dou achieved third place in Cyprus amongst the trainees that have com­pleted their ex­am­i­na­tions.
