Toll Global Forwarding in Cyprus through franchise agreement

-

Toll Global Forwarding (TGF), a division of Toll Group, the Asia Pacific region’s leading provider of transport and logistics, has established a presence in Cyprus with a franchise office fully operational as of July 1.

The establishment of the office – through an agreement signed locally with Laktarget Freight Limited, a subsidiary of the Limassol-based Lavar Shipping and member of the RPT Group of companies – was prompted by recent developments in the energy industry in Cyprus and the wider eastern Mediterranean region.

Offering a comprehensive network of international freight forwarding, and advanced supply chain management services, the local Toll franchise will also introduce the Sea-Air service, a hybrid multimodal transport system via Dubai that halves ocean freight transit times.

Speaking upon finalisation of the agreement, Vice President of Global Franchises for TGF Jeff Khoury said, “Having gone through a rigorous due diligence process, we are delighted to announce the partnership with Lavar Shipping for the establishment of a Toll office in Cyprus. The country has found itself at the heart of some very encouraging regional developments in the offshore oil and gas sector, and our aim is to provide high-quality forwarding solutions to meet regional demand and help move these exciting projects forward.”

“Toll’s presence in Cyprus will raise the bar in the provision of forwarding services”, said Reginos Tsanos, CEO of Lavar Shipping and Chairman of the RPT Group. “This franchise agreement represents yet another step towards realising our vision of Cyprus as a shipping and energy hub, facilitating business connections across the Eastern Mediterranean region.”
