Jeff Bezos’ Net Worth Jumps $10 billion To Make Him The World’s Richest Person

Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, has become the richest person in the world after Amazon’s share prices soared 13.22%, increasing Bezos’ net worth by a cool $10 billion.

As well as his wealth from Amazon, Jeff Bezos owns real estate worth millions in Seattle, Texas and California. In 2000 he founded space tourism company, Blue Origin, which specializes in making reusable space rockets. He bought the Washington Post for a quarter of a billion dollars in 2013,and he has funded the building of a clock in Texas, the Clock Of The Long Now, which will show time accurately for 10,000 years.

Amazon,currently valued at $529 billion, is the world’s largest e-commerce company.It completed its acquisition of souq.com, the Middle East’s leading ecommerce website, for $580 million in July 2017, and it acquired Whole Foods for $13.7 billion in August.
