Le­banese cri­sis tops Shoukry’s three-day visit to 6 Arab coun-

Egypt’s Min­is­ter of Foreign Af­fairs Sameh Shoukry starts on Sun­day a three-day visit to six Arab coun­tries to dis­cuss bi­lat­eral re­la­tions and up­dates of the sit­u­a­tion of the re­gion, Min­istry of Foreign Af­fairs spokesper­son Ahmed Abou Zaid said in a state­ment.

The visit in­cludes Jor­dan, the United Arab Emi­rates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Saudi Ara­bia.

Abou Zaid added that the tour comes in the frame of con­sul­ta­tions be­tween Egypt and the Arab coun­tries on the bi­lat­eral re­la­tions and the sit­u­a­tion in the re­gion amid the up­dates of the sit­u­a­tion in Le­banon,and the in­crease of chal­lenges re­lated to the se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity of the re­gion.

These chal­lenges re­quire in­creas­ing con­sul­ta­tion and co­or­di­na­tion be­tween Egypt and its broth­ers in the Arab coun­tries, the state­ment read.Abou Zaid added that Shoukry holds mes­sages from Egypt’s Pres­i­dent Abdel Fat­tah Al-Sisi to the lead­ers of the six coun­tries.

Shoukry will also hold meet­ings with his coun­ter­parts in the six Arab coun­tries.

Ac­cord­ing to the state­ment, dur­ing his dis­cus­sions, Shoukry will stress Egypt’s con­stant po­si­tion, which stresses the ne­ces­sity of keep­ing Arab na­tional se­cu­rity. Egypt also calls for po­lit­i­cal so­lu­tions and avoid­ing more rea­sons for es­ca­la­tion and po­lar­i­sa­tion in the re­gion.

The foreign min­is­ter will re­view the Egyp­tian view and eval­u­a­tion for the way of deal­ing with the changes that face the re­gion.
