-

After an amazing amount of effort and eight successful seasons in a row, Cairo Festival City Mall presents Cairo Fashion Festival (CFF)’s ninth edition, brought to you by OPPO, “the selfie expert and leader”. The series of events will run from 16 to 22 November 2017, with CFF hitting up the city walk at the amphitheatre parking lot, for the first time this season, to present to you the longest catwalk in CFF history.

Best known for scouting fashion talents, this season, CFF will continue to showcase fresh talented designers, featuring both leading and emerging designers from the region, including the internationally acclaimed Greek designer Mary Theotoki, who will be featured on the CFF catwalk for the first time.

Under the city walk theme, season nine will showcase runway shows and fashion presentations from the region’s leading couture and ready-to-wear designers, showcasing spring summer 2018 and Fashion Week 2017-18 collections in Cairo Festival City Mall’s parking lot, where the show will be hosted this year. Shoppers and mall visitors will also be able to enjoy the entire show live on Cairo Festival City Mall’s mega screens.

The festival began on 16 November, when CFF joined forces with top exhibitors to create a brilliant Bazaar, featuring over 20 exhibitors. The Bazaar, which will take place at the mall’s Festive Promenade, will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and will be open to all shoppers who can choose from a huge variety of unique exhibitors.

As part of the show, CFF will be working with Cairo Festival City Mall for the third time in a row to collaborate with leading fashion school, the London College of Fashion, as one lucky designer will win a scholarship for a short course at the college, fully funded by Cairo Festival City Mall. Fashion icon Zeynab El-Helw, also known as “The Fashion Pirate”, will be attending the festival to select the winning designer.

Commenting on the competition, Cairo Festival City Mall’s General Manager Austin Martin said, “fashion is one of the most dominant elements of Cairo Festival City Mall, so hosting a major event like CFF is a great way for us to highlight our continued support for this crucial industry.
