Costs of mobile applicatio­ns

Smartphone users cannot dispense their phones, especially with the increase of smart applicatio­ns that help us organise a lot of our daily activities, such as communicat­ion, social networking, home finance, and even home monitoring applicatio­ns.

But what is the cost of such applicatio­ns? Not all apps are free, and in this report, we show you the costs of acquiring smartphone applicatio­ns.

According to a report by eMarketer from August 2017, the average cost of installing apps is $4.1, which declined from $4.2 in June.

Cost per registrati­on scored $8.22 in August, down from $9.75 in June. Meanwhile, cost per reservatio­n posted $29,falling from $29.67 in June, while the cost per purchase increased to $53.1 from $46.1 in June.

Moreover, according to the report, cost per in app purchase registered $75 in August, down from $89.7 in June. The highest cost, yet, was the cost per subscripti­on, which was estimated at $148 in August, increasing from $142.3 in June.

As for the rates of engagement, the report showed that the install-to-registrati­on rate was roughly 49.7%, which increased from 42.8% in June.

Furthermor­e, the install-to-reservatio­n rate scored 14.08%.This ratio increased slightly from 14.06% in June.

The install-to-purchase rate reached 7.7% in August, falling from 9.05% in June 2017.The install-to-inapp-purchase rate mounted to 5.45% in August, up from 4.65% in June.

Finally, the report stated that the install-to-subscripti­on rate boasted 2.8% in August, compared to 2.9% in June.
