Sam­sung con­tin­ued to dom­i­nate Egyptian smart­phone sales in March 2018

Sam­sung con­tin­ued to lead the mo­bile phone mar­ket in Egypt, as its mar­ket share in­creased in March by 3.8%.Ac­cord­ing to a re­port by StatCounter, the mar­ket share of Sam­sung in­creased to 42.8% of mo­bile phone sales, up from 39% in Fe­bru­ary 2018.

Ac­cord­ing to the re­port, Huawei con­tin­ued to oc­cupy sec­ond place in terms of sales of mo­bile phones with a share of 13.1% in March com­pared to 14.1% in Fe­bru­ary 2018, a 1% de­cline.

The mar­ket share of Ap­ple de­clined in March by 3%, as the iPhone-maker’s mar­ket share of mo­bile phone sales in Egypt de­clined from 13.8% in Fe­bru­ary to 10.7% in March.

Len­ovo oc­cu­pied the fourth spot in terms of smart­phone mar­ket share in March de­spite the slight de­cline in its mar­ket share from 7.3% in Fe­bru­ary to 7.2% in March.

In­finix came fifth de­spite the slight de­cline in its mar­ket share, as its mar­ket share in March reached 4.5%, com­pared to 4.9% in Fe­bru­ary 2018.

Ac­cord­ing to the re­port, the mar­ket share of HTC was es­ti­mated to rep­re­sent 3.5% of mo­bile phone sales in Egypt in March com­pared to 3% in Fe­bru­ary, oc­cu­py­ing sixth place.

As for the mar­ket share of Tecno Mo­bile in March, it sat at 2.3%, un­changed from Fe­bru­ary 2018.

Nokia came last in terms of mo­bile phone mar­ket share in Egypt with 1.5% of sales in March com­pared to 1.7% in Fe­bru­ary 2018.
