Emirates NBD Egypt launches initiative for early breast cancer treatment in cooperation with Baheya
As part of the national campaign launched by the state for early detection of breast cancer, Emirates NBD Egypt launched an initiative on 27 October in cooperation with Baheya Foundation throughout the bank’s branches, to raise the awareness of breast cancer, prevention, and reducing risks.
During the campaign, the bank’s employees obtained all the information related to early detection of breast cancer, symptoms, treatment methods and prevention, as well as direct communication with all the specialised doctors of the Baheya Foundation.
The campaign comes within the framework of the bank’s social responsibility, whose strategy is focused on empowering women, and providing job opportunities for youth and people with special needs.
The initiative launched by the bank for its employees is a continuation of a campaign “My Arm is a Red Line,” launched on 20 October at the Nile Ritz-Carlton in collaboration with the Baheya Foundation for the disease’s early detection, awareness of its symptoms, risks and treatment.
This event was attended by a number of women who have been affected by the disease and received appropriate treatment, as well as a large number of celebrities,TV hosts, and other prominent female public figures.
In order to support the early detection of breast cancer, Emirates NBD provided financial support to the Baheya Foundation under the framework of donations, to reinforce the foundation and help it expand its campaign in various governorates.
