Emi­rates NBD Egypt launches ini­tia­tive for early breast can­cer treat­ment in co­op­er­a­tion with Ba­heya

As part of the na­tional cam­paign launched by the state for early de­tec­tion of breast can­cer, Emi­rates NBD Egypt launched an ini­tia­tive on 27 Oc­to­ber in co­op­er­a­tion with Ba­heya Foun­da­tion through­out the bank’s branches, to raise the aware­ness of breast can­cer, preven­tion, and re­duc­ing risks.

Dur­ing the cam­paign, the bank’s em­ploy­ees ob­tained all the in­for­ma­tion re­lated to early de­tec­tion of breast can­cer, symp­toms, treat­ment meth­ods and preven­tion, as well as di­rect com­mu­ni­ca­tion with all the spe­cialised doc­tors of the Ba­heya Foun­da­tion.

The cam­paign comes within the frame­work of the bank’s so­cial re­spon­si­bil­ity, whose strat­egy is fo­cused on em­pow­er­ing women, and pro­vid­ing job op­por­tu­ni­ties for youth and peo­ple with spe­cial needs.

The ini­tia­tive launched by the bank for its em­ploy­ees is a con­tin­u­a­tion of a cam­paign “My Arm is a Red Line,” launched on 20 Oc­to­ber at the Nile Ritz-Carl­ton in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Ba­heya Foun­da­tion for the dis­ease’s early de­tec­tion, aware­ness of its symp­toms, risks and treat­ment.

This event was at­tended by a num­ber of women who have been af­fected by the dis­ease and re­ceived ap­pro­pri­ate treat­ment, as well as a large num­ber of celebri­ties,TV hosts, and other prom­i­nent fe­male pub­lic fig­ures.

In or­der to sup­port the early de­tec­tion of breast can­cer, Emi­rates NBD pro­vided fi­nan­cial sup­port to the Ba­heya Foun­da­tion un­der the frame­work of do­na­tions, to re­in­force the foun­da­tion and help it ex­pand its cam­paign in var­i­ous gov­er­norates.
