AFTER the successful launch of ‘Dream: Liphupho’, movie lovers are set to treat their eyes, with the premiere of the film at Movie Zone in Ezulwini.

Scheduled to hit the Cinemas on April 5, 2024, from 5 pm, the premiere of the film will entice movie lovers. Tickets to the launch are priced at E50. ‘Dream: Liphupho’ is poised to grace the silver screen soon. At the heart of this film lies a poignant tale that follows the journey of a young boy, plagued by doubt, as he dreams of becoming a profession­al actor. Set against the backdrop of his challengin­g reality, the protagonis­t’s unwavering hope and perseveran­ce shine through, illuminati­ng the screen with a powerful message of resilience. “Dream: Liphupho” delves into the realm of dreams, career choices, and the indomitabl­e spirit of young individual­s who dare to chase their aspiration­s.

Process

In an interview, producer Siphosethu Sibandze shed light on the creative process behind this cinematic gem, revealing the hurdles they faced, including limited transporta­tion and other logistical challenges. Despite these obstacles, the film’s small yet dedicated crew poured their hearts and souls into the project. Sibandze took on the roles of writer and director, while Sibusile Dlamini served as the assistant director. The skilled cinematogr­aphy was masterfull­y handled by Luyanda Motsa, with Sanele Mazibuko operating the second camera. Bahle Shongwe ensured impeccable sound quality, and Clifford Dludlu expertly managed the lighting as the gaffer. Sibandze expressed profound admiration and gratitude for the remarkable efforts displayed by the crew, acknowledg­ing their instrument­al contributi­ons to the film’s success. He said the cast, too, played an integral role in bringing the story to life, making the filmmaking process a seamless and enjoyable experience.
