We’re reviving the club - Milton

-

After notching a win against a resilient Madlenya, Mbabane Highlanders are more into the future.

This is according to the club’s coach, Milton Dlamini. He sounded content that this season is done and dusted for them after the 1-0 win last Saturday at Ka Langa Technical Centre.

“I am happy that after going four to five games without a win, we finally got one. Yes, it was not easy as we lost our rhythm in the second half due to panic by my players. They needed this win, and we pushed our opponents to get the set piece that won us the match.

“I am also positive we played our game just the way we wanted in the first half, but coming to the second half without a goal, we lost it a little but still pressured the opposition. The season is also over now, and there’s nothing much to play for,” Dlamini, who was on his second game in charge, said in his post-match comment.

Dlamini also said the future was what they were already working on, given that the season is nearly done.

“We’re eyeing both the present and the future. We’re reviving Highlanders for next season,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dlamini lost his first match in charge to Nsingizini Hotspurs, who edged them 1-0. He faces tough and fellow title-chasing rivals, Young Buffaloes, next as they push for at least a decent finish in the top four if the title proves impossible.

Highlanders are sixth on the league table with 32 points to leaders and match-day 24 rivals Mbabane Swallows’ 40

They are also six behind Buffaloes who have 38 points on position four.

Buffaloes are level on points with second-placed Royal Leopard and third-placed defending champions Green Mamba.
