Siyanda Maphumulo to bring laughter at Happy Valley

IN a much-anticipate­d event set to light up the night in Ezulwini, South African comedic sensation Siyanda Maphumulo is gearing up to take the stage at Happy Valley Hotel for a side-splitting comedy show presented by Shelela Gin. Scheduled for April 26, 2024, comedy aficionado­s are in for a treat as Siyanda Maphumulo is set to deliver a set of his life at Siyanda Maphumulo Shiqe comedy show. The headliner, Siyanda Maphumulo will be supported by Mdura, comedian Dr Shakes, and Qibho Intelektua­l in an event that promises to be an evening filled with laughter and entertainm­ent. Hailing from Durban, KwaZulu Natal, Siyanda Maphumulo, an 8th SATMA award finalist in the best indigenous comedian category, is no stranger to tickling funny bones with his unique brand of humour that has captivated audiences far and wide. Ndosh, one of the event organisers, expressed excitement about the upcoming show, stating, “Allow us to present to you a comedy night to remember. With the funny and dapper comedian Ndosh as your host, we are happy to announce that South African Comedian Siyanda Maphumulo will be in the country to tickle all your funny bones.”

Admission

General admission is E150, single VIP tickets E350. VIP tables for E5 000 for a table of ten which will also include finger meals and Shelela Gin shots. Couples can get a table for E700 also inclusive of finger meals and Shelela Gin shots.

In an exclusive interview, Ndosh shared his vision for the show, emphasisin­g the importance of spreading warmth and joy through laughter during the winter season. He said as winter approaches, it’s essential to create an atmosphere filled with hearty chuckles and events that bring people together for a good time. “Winter is basically upon us, and we need to come up with nothing but warm giggles and events that facilitate a 2-by-2 behaviour,” Ndosh expressed. The comedian revealed that the inspiratio­n behind the event stemmed from a desire to collaborat­e with Shelela Gin, a local gin brand that has captured the hearts of many in Eswatini. Drawing on the excitement surroundin­g the gin, Ndosh aims to create a memorable experience for all attendees at the show. “According to me, Shelela makes the finest gin in Eswatini. I hope people get excited at this local gin and support it,” he added. Assuring prospectiv­e attendees of a night to remember, Ndosh encouraged comedy lovers to come out in full force and immerse themselves in an evening of pure joy. “I can’t predict how people will react, but I can promise them an unforgetta­ble and epic night filled with laughter and good vibes. It’s going to be a full-blown comedy experience that you won’t want to miss,” Ndosh affirmed.
