THE music world is abuzz with excitement as the King of Amapiano, Kabza De Small, prepares to dazzle audiences with a groundbreaking symphonic orchestra show.

Amidst the anticipation surrounding his upcoming Red Bull Symphonic show, Kabza De Small made a striking fashion statement on the show’s advertisement by donning a slim-fit black suit adorned with a Swati ‘lihiya’ draped over his shoulder, showcasing his deep respect for Eswatini culture.

Renowned for his chart-topping hits and innovative musical style, Kabza De Small’s star power was further solidified when tickets for his inaugural Red Bull Symphonic show in South Africa sold out within a mere five hours of release.

Set to take place on June 8, 2024, at the prestigious Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City in Johannesburg, the Red Bull Symphonic Kabza De Small with Pitse and the Symphonic Orchestra promises a musical spectacle.

This groundbreaking collaboration will see the King of Amapiano harmonize his iconic repertoire with the grandeur of a fullscale symphonic orchestra under the baton of female conductor, Ofentse Pitse.

Blending the infectious rhythms and signature melodies of Amapiano with the rich textures of classical orchestration, the performance will feature a 33-piece orchestra and an eight-piece choir, creating a symphonic fusion that transcends musical boundaries.

Notably, this is not the first time a South African artist has teamed up with an orchestra for a one-of-a-kind performance, and Kabza De Small’s foray into the symphonic realm follows in the footsteps of other South African artists who have embraced the orchestral format for unforgettable performances. Slain rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes wowed audiences with his collaborations with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Pretoria and Durban, while DJ Tira’s electrifying performance with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra at Moses Mabhida Stadium captivated music lovers last year.
