Maloma Celebrates siSwati Culture at Buganu Festival
Being a 100 per cent Swati owned and 100 per cent rooted in Eswatini, Maloma Colliery Limited continues with its proud tradition of promoting the growth and appreciation of culture, heritage and traditions of this great nation.
Coupled with supporting many cultural activities, Maloma mine participated with glitz and pride in the annual Buganu Cultural Festival.
At the Buganu Cultural Festival, Eswatini’s heritage is showcased to the admiration of both locals and visitors. EmaSwati are united in song and dance during the festival. It is also about celebrating the provision of the marula fruit (buganu) that is not only used for the buganu drink but also for different economic purposes such as health and skin care products.
The festival has increased in in popularity, and has become one of the country’s most popular and exciting traditional ceremonies.
