Manchester City looking ominous as Premier League climax nears

- By Chris Dlamini

The name Zito Luvumbo is a trademark in Angola as he is their most feared striker.

The Angolan national team star player is based in Italy, where he plays for Serie A side, Cagliari. Luvumbo, who has been an integral part of the Angolan squad and has featured in their opening World Cup fixtures against Cape Verde and Mauritius, but both games ended goalless away, is valued at €6 million Euros. This is equivalent to just slightly above E122 million. The precise figure is E122 396 923.39.

Luvumbo is expected to be among those selected to face Eswatini at home in the first leg, come June, where Angola also play Group D giants and leaders Cameroon. Both Cameroon and Cape Verde have four points apiece while Eswatini is last in the group of six countries with no points after two games and two defeats. Angola sits on fifth with two points. Information sourced from the net revealed that in the whole Angolan squad, mainly dominated by international stars from France, Turkey, Germany, Portugal and Egypt among others, is that Luvumbo is their most feared striker who has netted four in the Serie A and had five assists in 26 matches. His annual salary is €1 110 000 (E22 638 694.20).

He has also started 16 matches for Calgliari while he has been subbed out three times and subbed in 10 times.

Luvumbo will be expected to lead the attacking threat for Angola as they aim for their first maximum points in the qualifiers.

Eswatini will also be out to get their first win or even a point in a very tough group in which only the number one team gets the World Cup slot. The qualifiers will run until October 2025. However, with Africa set to have nine slots, the best number two stands a chance as there will be a play-off.

Meanwhile, Eswatini has lost to 1-0 and 2-0 at home
