Temalangeni looking forward to the Women Under 70kg final
FEMALE boxer Temalangeni Dlamini is geared up for the Women -70kg finals on Sunday afternoon.
The Olymp Africa boxer will take on the Mozambique boxer at the Durban
International Convention Centre on
Sunday.
“I am looking forward to the finals and I am confident that I will do well in the fight. I have done all the necessary preparations for my fight over the past three days,” she said. Dlamini is guaranteed closer to E180 000 which is equivalent to $10 000 after she got seeded to the finals.
The champion for the -70kg finals is set to take home E285 000 which is equivalent to $ 15 000. The Eswatini technical bench comprises six coaches Douglas Simelane (Head coach), Mpendulo Mbingo, Maxwell Ngwenya, Muzi Shongwe, Ndumiso Mthembu and the legendary Simanga ‘ De Boer’ Shiba.
Some of the countries taking part in the tournament include Eswatini, South Africa, Mozambique, Lesotho, Kenya, Angola, Botswana, Zambia and Malawi, to mention but a few.
The participating countries will be competing for the E9 million prize money recently announced by the International Boxing Association (IBA).
The new continental assignment will come on Sunday.
